Case Report An 87-year-old female patient with a history of hypertension and cerebrovascular insufficiency applied to an external center with complaints of severe chest pain lasting for 10 days.
In the medicated tomography examination taken for the chest and abdomen, a giant vessel dilatation starting from the curvature of the aorta and continuing downwards was detected. Emergency surgery was recommended to the patient. Risk calculations are made before such surgeries and necessary pre-procedure tests are applied. Endovascular aortic graft stent implantation was applied to this patient who definitely had a high risk for open surgery. The patient was monitored throughout the procedure with a special monitoring system and the entire procedure was performed as a “closed surgery”. The patient, who was treated as an inpatient for one day before the procedure and two days after the procedure, was discharged with recovery on the third day of his hospitalization. No problems were detected in the control tomography examination taken at the first month control of the patient whose complaints were relieved. Endovascular Aortic Graft Implantations are known as a new era and groundbreaking interventions in Cardiovascular Surgery.
